The property was smaller than expected, more like a studio style space. However, it was still charming and rustic, with a farm yard setting and the opportunity to feed the animals. The room itself was clean and cozy, with a comfortable bed. The location was great, just a short walk from the lake and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and cafes.
Although the location was convenient, it was not remote and there was some noise from passing cars due to it being close to the main road. There was also no view of the lake, but instead surrounded by holiday homes and woods.

We had a fantastic time at this cozy hut. the kitchen and bathroom were modern and well-equipped, and the slow combustion firebox kept us warm all night. the king size bed was super comfortable, and we loved the view from the front deck. the outdoor area was wonderful, and we even enjoyed breakfast outside despite the chilly weather. the location was perfect, and the staff were amazing, including the friendly animals. the stargazing experience was top-notch, and we enjoyed learning about the history of the property during a lovely evening with mulled wine and nibbles.

A Memorable Culinary Experience: I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious meal in the sun at the outdoor dining area of this cozy and warm accommodation. The mountain views from the patio added an extra touch of charm to my dining experience. It felt like dining in a picturesque painting!
Bath Window not Sealed: Draft and noise from the road seeped in through the unsealed window in front of the bed.

We stayed at The Red Hut for a weekend getaway and absolutely loved it! The hut itself was cosy, warm, and spacious, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and made our arrival seamless, with the key left in the door and the heating already turned on. The highlight of our stay was definitely feeding Whiskey, the resident pig - he's so ugly, he's beautiful! The location was perfect, just a short walk to Tekapo village, and we enjoyed exploring the area. We highly recommend The Red Hut and can't wait to stay again!
Recommend this hotel.

I had the most amazing stay at the Red Hut Villa. The little hut itself was absolutely charming and had everything I needed for a comfortable and cozy stay. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. One of the highlights of my stay was being able to feed the farm animals on the property, which was such a unique and enjoyable experience. The location was also perfect - secluded enough to feel like a peaceful escape, but still conveniently close to the village. The views from the porch were breathtaking, especially during sunrise. I had a truly wonderful and memorable experience at the Red Hut Villa and I will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a cozy and unique getaway.

the hut is perfectly located, just a short 5-minute walk into town and a quick drive to the Tekapo Springs hot pools. the space was beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable with all the amenities we needed. One of the highlights was being given feed for the llamas and Whisky the pig, such a lovely touch. I'm already looking forward to returning in a few years to see the exciting expansion plans!
Nothing 😊.

Hotel breakfast could be improved with a wider variety of options.
